Dada has commenced the first phase installation of 310 kitchens in what is destined to be Central London’s tallest residential tower. Developed and Constructed by Brookfields, Strata SE1, is rapidly rising on site and can now be seen from many vantage points around London. Designed by Hamiltons Architects, it is the first major scheme to come forward as part of the Elephant and Castle Regeneration Masterplan.
The tower comprises 43 storeys and is 147.85 metres high, with a smaller five storey building alongside. Both buildings combined will offer 408 residential units with four retail units at ground and first floor level. The tower is “crowned” with three wind turbines, nine metres in diameter that will form part of the building’s on-site renewable energy contribution. Each housed within venturi enclosures, contributing power to the landlords grid.
